roddy Posted March 30, 2008 at 12:29 AM Report Share Posted March 30, 2008 at 12:29 AM This has come up before, and if I remember correctly you need to work out the issue at the overseas end - if your friends phone is able to send international SMS to China, it'll work, if not, it won't. You'd need to speak to the mobile operator in Denmark.
muyongshi Posted March 30, 2008 at 12:38 AM Report Share Posted March 30, 2008 at 12:38 AM My thoughts are the same. If you can't receive them it's due to the fact that he can't send them. Of course every now and again a message won't make it through or it makes it 24 hours later (while your friend is sleeping at 3am of course )
olsen1 Posted March 30, 2008 at 06:22 AM Author Report Share Posted March 30, 2008 at 06:22 AM Thanks for the reply Infact I just recieved a message reply on phone yesterday so it must mean its okay at my end, but as you say the problems is with the senders phone company ( though mesaages are shown on senders phone as sent )
peterlkj Posted March 30, 2008 at 08:18 PM Report Share Posted March 30, 2008 at 08:18 PM I have this problem too, and it's not just related to China. Sometimes my UK phone company (Three) can't send messages to Portugal, not to mention China. The reason is that the network operators don't have the necessary contracts in place (although phone calls go through). If you really need to use SMS, either you or your friend might need to use a different network.
