muyongshi Posted April 2, 2008 at 03:27 AM Report Share Posted April 2, 2008 at 03:27 AM I like it when your face starts to turn red, I dream that you forever are mine From now on, (you/I) want to become a radiant woman, can be very low key, also can be very obvious On the word obvious due to context (the original word actually means to publicize but that doesn't work for this usage) I would actually translate it as flamboyant A life without me, would actually be no different! Loving you is beauty's fault
studentyoung Posted April 2, 2008 at 04:40 AM Report Share Posted April 2, 2008 at 04:40 AM Loving you is a beautiful fault. Cheers!

muyongshi Posted April 2, 2008 at 06:14 AM Report Share Posted April 2, 2008 at 06:14 AM I see where you are coming from studentyoung, (loving you is a beautiful mistake)
studentyoung Posted April 2, 2008 at 06:23 AM Report Share Posted April 2, 2008 at 06:23 AM (loving you is a beautiful mistake) That’s it. But I still don’t understand what “beauty’s fault” means. Cheers!
muyongshi Posted April 2, 2008 at 06:28 AM Report Share Posted April 2, 2008 at 06:28 AM It means that the reason the person fell in love is beauty, so beauty is at fault for having fallen in love so it's "beauty's fault". I hope that makes sense, I'm not great at explaining things.

I hope that makes sense, I'm not great at explaining things. Oh, I think you have explained it clearly. Thanks so much for your explanation, muyongshi. OK, I see that why beauty is blamed. (It just reminds me of the main character 崔莺莺 in A Lament for Ying Ying whom was blamed for her beauty by her ex-lover. Sigh ~ ~!) Cheers! monto Posted April 2, 2008 at 07:26 AM Report Share Posted April 2, 2008 at 07:26 AM But I still don’t understand what “beauty’s fault” means. It means "美人的过错".
Lu Posted April 2, 2008 at 07:58 AM Report Share Posted April 2, 2008 at 07:58 AM monto, no I think that would be 'the beauty's fault. That’s it. But I still don’t understand what “beauty’s fault” means. Consider: 是小明的错 it's Xiao Ming's fault (that the window is broken: he threw the ball!) 是桌子的错 it's the table's fault (that I hurt my knee) 是美丽的错 it's beauty's fault (that I love you)
studentyoung Posted April 2, 2008 at 09:15 AM Report Share Posted April 2, 2008 at 09:15 AM Loving you is beauty's fault It means I once misunderstood that“beauty's fault美丽的错” was 美丽的错误. In fact, it means it is beauty that I should blame (for loving you), i.e. 美之过. Thanks so much for your explanations Lu and monto! Cheers!
