DrWatson Posted April 4, 2008 at 05:39 AM Report Posted April 4, 2008 at 05:39 AM I'm not the type who can read stuff online or on a pda, so I'm looking for a book to slowly read over a year or two. For some reason I feel more comfortable with a book in hand that I can mark up with a pencil and flip through while on the bus. I found one that interests me (I'll planning to read the English version as well) and I found a bookstore on the internet that apparently ships overseas from Taiwan. However, they have two versions of the book: 古都 (精) 古都 They both seem to be published in the same year, but I can't really tell what the difference is other than the price What does 精 mean beside a book title? My Chinese is not that good yet (but I'm going to try to read a book, I must be crazy!) and the online Chinese dictionaries have not been of much help. Quote
