peterlkj Posted April 5, 2008 at 08:33 AM Report Posted April 5, 2008 at 08:33 AM I saw an exhibition in London a couple of years ago with several of Castiglione's paintings - and remember hearing at the time that Da Shan was going to play him in a 24 part tv series. Does any one know what its Chinese name was ? Was it any good? Maybe it could be added to the grand first episode project too? PS: Wikipedia link if you've not heard of him: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giuseppe_Castiglione_%28Jesuit%29 Quote
roddy Posted April 5, 2008 at 11:02 AM Report Posted April 5, 2008 at 11:02 AM There's this page which has the name 宫廷画师郎世宁, but it's on Youku as 康乾盛世秘史 - first episode here. I watched a few snippets of it. There's some fantastic wig action, and I learned a lot aboot how Jesuits speak. Quote
