Suggestions for learning classical Chinese

Does anyone have any suggestions for books that would introduce and help develop reading skills in classical (pre-modern) Chinese?

Also, should I go for a book written in English, or for a book written in Chinese (e.g. what high schools and university students start with / use in class to learn)?
