Guest alexkos Posted April 13, 2008 at 05:21 AM Report Share Posted April 13, 2008 at 05:21 AM I really love Wenlin, it's the main Chinese learning application I use... on a daily basis, by the way. But I really lack Chinese-chinese dictionaries as they provide detailed word explanations and better examples. Moreover, some tech terms and names are missing. I'm using Wenlin on Macbook... I have some "sources" for Chinese Dictionaries... it would be great to put them into Wenlin!!! Any ideas how to add dictionaries? I have programming expertise, so any scripts/sources/ideas are welcome! PS I'm a BLCU student now
Ole Posted April 13, 2008 at 05:34 AM Report Share Posted April 13, 2008 at 05:34 AM Hi Alexkos, (just in case you didn´t see it.) if you are able to transfer your material into the Wenlin format you could use the Editing dictionary entries function... Guest alexkos Posted April 13, 2008 at 07:05 AM Report Share Posted April 13, 2008 at 07:05 AM Thank you! I've checked that manual... I'm wondering if anyone has already written or created some custom dictionaries or transfer macros... for example for CEDICT... I'm ready to share my results... frankly speaking, I'm rather time limited...therefore I ask for help ADDED: for example, this is an extract from dewenlin source: how serial-number is formed? *** 8 *** pinyin ānyíng* characters 安营[-營] serial-number 1000094056 class a remark Added class a (Oxford) reference 234 part-of-speech v.o. definition ein Zeltlager aufschlagen *** 9 *** pinyin ānmín gàoshì characters 安民告示 serial-number 1000072813 reference 198 part-of-speech n. 1definition Bekanntmachung zur Beruhigung der Bevölkerung 2definition Vorankündigung 2measure-word ¹tiáo/¹zhāng
