Incidentally this is another one of those expressions appearing in a HSK simulation test but nowhere to be found in the HSK vocab. I have read any number of texts in which some 3-4 expressions occur that are not listed on the HSK lists. yonglin Posted April 15, 2008 at 09:43 PM Report Share Posted April 15, 2008 at 09:43 PM As far as I know, 忍耐 is listed on the 丙 level of the HSK vocab list, and 不住 is (the negative form of) a 可能补语. You can compare this use with, say, 记不住、控制不住 (both of which are favourite textbook expressions).
