Fudan dorm or close by apartment?

What would you choose?

First question: does the uni find you an apartment, or do you have to find one by yourself?

I think I'd pick the dorm, but what you choose is up to you. I think living in a dorm has the plus side of more contact with fellow students, not to mention living on campus, and it's usually cheaper. But maybe you'd prefer more space, and your own space, and have the money to spend on it.
