杰声 Posted April 23, 2008 at 12:15 PM Report Posted April 23, 2008 at 12:15 PM I was wondering if anyone knew of a Chinese word for a stereotypy (stereotypies). It's basically a repetitive gesture, movement or speech pattern you often get in people with mental disabilities, although it also occurs in animals (like repetitive nodding or swinging or the head). I know I could translate it simply as 反常性重复 but I was wondering if there was a more specialised term for it? Quote
monto Posted April 23, 2008 at 12:32 PM Report Posted April 23, 2008 at 12:32 PM I find in Google: "stereotypy 刻板性动作",and "stereotypia 刻板症 stereotypy 刻板症" Quote
CNJay Posted April 25, 2008 at 03:47 PM Report Posted April 25, 2008 at 03:47 PM Maybe you can say "机械性重复" Quote
