高可文 Posted June 2, 2004 at 02:23 AM Report Posted June 2, 2004 at 02:23 AM I've just finished my first year of Chinese. Occasionally I come across a 成語 and have no idea what it means. Are 成語 used that commonly? If yes, what are some I should know? Quote
Quest Posted June 2, 2004 at 02:27 AM Report Posted June 2, 2004 at 02:27 AM yes 成語s are used very often. All the 成語s themselves can fill up a whole dictionary, so asking for common 成語 is like asking for common words to use in a language. I suggest that you learn 成語s as words when you come across them.
