ABCinChina Posted May 23, 2008 at 05:58 AM Report Posted May 23, 2008 at 05:58 AM I am also curious since I'd like to start getting people to play it here. Too bad nobody knows what Texas Hold'em is here. Hence, I doubt there's any terms for these. Quote
imron Posted May 23, 2008 at 06:47 AM Report Posted May 23, 2008 at 06:47 AM A google search for 德州扑克术语 returns this page which might come in useful. A little further searching also reveals this page of terms. The Chinese wikipedia entry also has some more information, but you need to use a proxy to access it. Quote
whitekblackq Posted May 23, 2008 at 06:52 AM Report Posted May 23, 2008 at 06:52 AM Lots of people play it at the casinos in Macau. And I believe they all use the English lingo Quote
simonlaing Posted May 23, 2008 at 07:53 AM Report Posted May 23, 2008 at 07:53 AM We have Chinese people in Nanjing who play it with us westerners quite often. My friend Andy is teaching some chinese people in Ningbo if there are some people who want to play there he's looking for players. Most of the Chinese have learned betting from the 3 card stud game, I think it is called Pao de kuai. Some can play well though they seem to like to draw more than bluff people out. have fun, Simon:) Quote
