This is the theme song of a tv drama series. The story of the drama is very upsetting as such old-fashioned stories are uncommon these days. But I really like the lyrics and singing of this song. The words are very very sad and the gentle voice of the singer is very touching. I don't pariticularly like the reading in the song though.

I think the 'words' are very sad. The first response I when I read the words are: 哇，洗唔洗慘成甘 （wow, does it need to be that sad). Especially the reading part, it's rather creepy. 邊個條命被人批成甘。聼完Ｄ讀白真係有排都唔敢去梯相。

Yes, the singer has a nice voice.

The story of the tv series is about the fate of a bunch of women in a rich family at the turn of the 20th century. Women nowadays are much freer and luckier. But still some posts here are about how the family/parents of a Chinese man/woman get in the way of the marriage/relationship of a couple, and I feel that it is ridiculous and it shouldn't happen.
