rezaf Posted May 29, 2008 at 06:59 AM Report Posted May 29, 2008 at 06:59 AM what is the difference? Quote
HashiriKata Posted May 29, 2008 at 08:17 AM Report Posted May 29, 2008 at 08:17 AM They're normally equivalent but there are cases they are different. Examine: 在家写。(write at home: Location) (write on the table: Destination) (go to the sportsground to run: Location) (run to the sportsground: Destination) Quote
rezaf Posted May 29, 2008 at 08:32 AM Author Report Posted May 29, 2008 at 08:32 AM thanks, so when the destination and location are the same they are equivalent, right? are these two equivalent? Quote
studentyoung Posted May 29, 2008 at 08:50 AM Report Posted May 29, 2008 at 08:50 AM 1-我到餐厅去吃饭。 I went to a restaurant (and planned) to have a meal there. I arrived at a restaurant and had a meal there. 去到 means “arrive at/ in”, “reach”. Cheers! Quote
HashiriKata Posted May 29, 2008 at 08:53 AM Report Posted May 29, 2008 at 08:53 AM Yes, the two may be semantically equivalent but then speaking habits will tell you that one may be preferable to the other. BTW, I replied to one of your earlier questions about "le". Have a look if you haven't. Quote
