gerri Posted October 13, 2008 at 11:26 PM Report Posted October 13, 2008 at 11:26 PM (edited) Don't worry, most of those "antiques" were probably made in last couple of years/months anyway What I'm thinking, too. Otherwise, all the antiques markets would be out of business. Though I guess their continuance isn't proof that it's all "antiques" either All a bit strange. But hey, it's China... (and in South America, the situation would have been similar). Edited October 14, 2008 at 06:21 AM by imron the quote tag uses [] not <> Quote

Shadowdh Posted April 9, 2009 at 09:35 PM Report Posted April 9, 2009 at 09:35 PM And now I am worried about liability in case someone has an accident with it as the brakes dont work properly. Apparently, I am liable even if someone stole it. German law That is crazy talk... Quote
Scoobyqueen Posted April 10, 2009 at 07:27 AM Author Report Posted April 10, 2009 at 07:27 AM That is crazy talk Because I left it unlocked. In Germany you can also be fined if you leave valuables in view in your car. It is seen as encouraging... Quote
adrianlondon Posted April 10, 2009 at 09:07 AM Report Posted April 10, 2009 at 09:07 AM Apart from Berlin, I don't think bikes are really stolen much in Germany. More like they're "borrowed" by people who don't want to walk home after the bar shuts. You'll no doubt find some drunk, mullet wearing German teenager lying face down with a bike on top of him, with a huge hangover, wondering where he is and how he got there. Quote
