Guest realmayo Posted May 29, 2008 at 11:57 AM Report Posted May 29, 2008 at 11:57 AM If anyone should be interested: Just saw that a guy called 趙翼舟 | Zhao Yizhou has a website, called 追逐無形 | Chasing the Unseen. He's a calligrapher, living in London. I went to some of his classes, they were great though I was hopeless. Anyway, plenty of his paintings are on the website: http://zhaoyizhou.co.uk/calligraphy/ Quote
ChineseOtto Posted June 12, 2008 at 01:26 AM Report Posted June 12, 2008 at 01:26 AM Very cool! Thanks for the site! I am studying brush writing at the moment! I have traditional art training from the US... and I am trying to "empty my cup (forget everything) so that I can fill it agian". Changing everything you learned is a pain in the "pi gu" but it's going to be fun once I get the hang of it! Thanks again for the site... Quote
Guest realmayo Posted June 13, 2008 at 09:42 AM Report Posted June 13, 2008 at 09:42 AM Glad you like it. (Given that there is a whole section on that site called "Drunkenness" I think it's fair to say that a certain amount of cup-emptying, of a different sort, has played a part in his calligraphy!)
