Hi,

For a ceremony where my and my girl want to get a tattoo, I want our nicknames (that are important to us) on eachother as a small tattoo. Could anyone help in this?

The names are:

LordS

kanya

Either traditional or simplified is allright. Thanks a lot!!!

If they are important to you, then I suggest that you don't try to get a Chinese version tattooed on you. You can't really "translate" European names (or nicknames) into Chinese.

Have a read of this and this to get an understanding of some of the issues involved.

From the looks of those nicknames they are especially untranslatable. You write 'LordS' with a capital at the end, as you may know Chinese doesn't have capitals or initials. You can approximate the sound of 'Kanya', but any meaning it has to you two would be lost with it.

'k Denk dat je beter gewoon jullie namen, in gewone letters, kan tatoeeren. If you really want Chinese characters, you could consider writing your (nick)names and a 愛, love, or something similar.
