studymandrn Posted June 4, 2008 at 09:00 PM Report Posted June 4, 2008 at 09:00 PM I know you need round trip airfare for a tourist visa, but does anyone know for sure if an onward ticket to another country will work just as well? If I cannot get a long term visa I prefer to travel on instead of returning to the US. It seems like the obvious answer would be yes, but I do not want to buy a ticket and then be told otherwise. BrandeX Posted June 5, 2008 at 02:52 AM Report Posted June 5, 2008 at 02:52 AM That is correct, you don't need a "round trip ticket", you need proof of onward travel. They won't care where you are going as long as you are leaving. Quote
self-taught-mba Posted June 5, 2008 at 06:36 AM Report Posted June 5, 2008 at 06:36 AM Flight from Shenzhen to HK maybe less than $100. Others are booking then cancelling flights and paying a fee. Quote
studymandrn Posted June 5, 2008 at 11:27 AM Author Report Posted June 5, 2008 at 11:27 AM Thanks Selt Taught, I wasn't even thinking that way, but because I am going to try and get an extended visa when I arrive your option makes more sense. If I fail then I will purchase another flight out. Quote
