Jikolp Posted August 5, 2008 at 12:35 PM Report Posted August 5, 2008 at 12:35 PM Oh My God! This is a very sad story! As a (pretty shy) girl I can totally understand your girlfriend. A life of study Posted August 7, 2008 at 03:53 PM Report Posted August 7, 2008 at 03:53 PM I don't think she should get in the lift if this man is there. Even if there are other people in the lift, he still might try a surreptitious frisk, thinking she is too shy to say anything. If it continues further, contact campus police. Quote
A life of study Posted August 7, 2008 at 03:57 PM Report Posted August 7, 2008 at 03:57 PM If the police don't take it seriously, she can see a lawyer and ask him to help her report it to the police, and the police should be obliged to treat it more seriously. Quote
Quest Posted August 8, 2008 at 12:13 AM Report Posted August 8, 2008 at 12:13 AM I'd take a month off and fly to her if I were you. How could you leave her there helpless like that? I'd also storm the chancellor, whatever big guys' office and tell the story, call the local newspaper, post on the school's message boards, post on the city's message boards etc. Quote

yigedeguoren Posted August 14, 2008 at 05:34 PM Author Report Posted August 14, 2008 at 05:34 PM Hi again, haven't been looking for a while... I was busy and my girlfriend is with me since end of June She got over it, everything is back to normal. As for the guy, we don't know, but it seemed that he had to leave the country early a bit. There was a rumor that his embassy was dealing with him. But I'm not sure, they wouldn't pin his story on every wall in Shanghai, you know... But I think he should have left by now. @yersi: You are exactly right, it seems you know him. As far as I learned about him he do has some mentall problems. If he had problems fitting into certain social setting, then I think coming to China was a bit too much of a challenge... His life doesn't seem to be easy and in a way he is a rather pitiful creature. But one thing I must say, however pitiful you are, some things are simply unacceptable. He was told that he is acting wrong but still didn't listen, so I think wanting him to leave the country is easily justifiable. In one way or another he's got to learn that he is wrong and people wouldn't leave him get away with it. Anyway, its over. Hopefully he would get some help at home, but I doubt that there is much help available in his home country... Thanks for all your help again! Enjoy watching the games ;) Quote
