doumeizhen Posted June 12, 2008 at 08:34 AM Report Posted June 12, 2008 at 08:34 AM Definitely worth a listen! The 60th anniversary Reith Lectures take China as their subject, and are given by the eminent historian Professor Jonathan Spence. Each of the lectures will be available after broadcast to listen again or download. Reith Lectures Quote

roddy Posted June 13, 2008 at 04:03 AM Report Posted June 13, 2008 at 04:03 AM Listened to the first one last night, good stuff. Nice to hear someone talking about China and going back past 1949. Very illustrious set of question askers at the end as well. Will certainly be listening to the others. The BBC site has transcripts, for anyone who prefers to read. Quote
