intldrmr Posted June 15, 2008 at 07:13 PM Report Posted June 15, 2008 at 07:13 PM Hey, I am thinking about going to Beijing in the spring of 2009 to do an exchange semester at Tsinghua. I speak mid level mandarin, learned in Dalian. The program will be a complement to my current MBA program, which I am doing at Thunderbird. Can anyone out there tell me some direct experiences with the school in regards to their MBA program, what the students are like and general impressions? Cheers Quote
renzhe Posted June 18, 2008 at 08:43 PM Report Posted June 18, 2008 at 08:43 PM Have you tried searching? There are many threads about Qinghua. In any case, it's a huge university with a top reputation, so having it on your CV can't hurt. Quote
adrianlondon Posted June 19, 2008 at 07:21 AM Report Posted June 19, 2008 at 07:21 AM Despite the pinyin/wade giles thing it's better to search for Tsinghua (as that's what they call themselves) rather than Qinghua. Quote
imron Posted June 19, 2008 at 01:26 PM Report Posted June 19, 2008 at 01:26 PM I attended a semester of the Tsinghua IMBA program as part of a government sponsored exchange. Overall I was quite impressed both with the quality of the teaching and the facilities. If I was going to do an MBA in China, Tsinghua would probably be my first choice. Quote
self-taught-mba Posted June 19, 2008 at 04:36 PM Report Posted June 19, 2008 at 04:36 PM Taught some MBA stuff here; most of the MBA programs here are just fluff. Also joined in current students of our executive MBA visited in and got to meet with a lot of their students. Impressed. Although it's not to do much for your Mandarin because most of them have very good English skills. It has one of the better reputations here. You need a more descriptive post title by the way. Our MBA profs would have your ass if you signed a memo or an e-mail with such vague subject information. Just had to give you some more of what you are probably already getting. Quote
