Chinese Learner Posted June 22, 2008 at 08:57 AM Report Posted June 22, 2008 at 08:57 AM Hi I have a re-occuring neck injury that I sustained from a whiplash injury in a car crash many years ago. In England I used to have a McTimoney chiropractor (a much gentler but very effective branch of traditional western chiropracting) but I can't find one in Beijing. Anyone know a 'reliable' (as in someone who won't completely injure my spine because they know what they are doing!) chiropracter; western or chinese in Beijing? Thanks!! Quote
foodtarget Posted June 22, 2008 at 10:23 AM Report Posted June 22, 2008 at 10:23 AM I think I read in a book recently a true story about a Chinese chiropractor who didn't really have any chiropractic training. He was working on some elderly man and accidentally snapped his neck. The old guy later died in the hospital. Not sure where I read it exactly, but I'm pretty sure it really happened. Sorry this doesn't answer your question, but it seemed semi-relevant... good luck finding a chiropractor that won't snap your spine! Quote
