studymandrn Posted July 2, 2008 at 06:00 AM Report Posted July 2, 2008 at 06:00 AM Hello, I ran a search and found two FTP threads but they do not address my issue. I live in Hainain. I have had "High Speed" DSL for a week. For the first five days I was able to upload to my servers, I run several business websites, but now every time I try to FTP in to upload content the program times out or says it is blocked. I could tackle the problem better if I was never able to FTP, but the fact that it started just yesterday after a week of no problems is confusing. Has anyone had similar problems and know of a way to resolve? On a different note, in the US we have three forms of high speed internet: DSL, Cable, and Satellite. Are there any other options other than the Telecom DSL? As of now the only thing I can think of is to burn a CD, mail it to my programmer and have him upload, but what a pain that would be... Quote
roddy Posted July 2, 2008 at 07:00 AM Report Posted July 2, 2008 at 07:00 AM VPN. Witopia.net. USD40 a year, and it'll get you to blocked websites as well. *Disclosure: Chinese-forums is a Witopia affiliate. If you use that link to make a purchase, then for less than 1 RMB a day you not only get a fully-functional VPN which will solve all blocking issues within China, you also drop a few coins in the forums' coffers.
