How can it be said in Chinese "to consider someone to be" or "to think that someone is”? "I consider them to be" - "我觉得他们是。。。“?”I think I am“ - ”我想我是。。。“?

谢谢:)

My first instinct is to use 算 or 认为

我认为他们是。。。

我算是。。。

Hi,

You could say:

他可能(算是)...

They could (be considered)...

(or)

我(認為)他是...

I (consider/believe) they are...

Hope this is of some use... at the moment I can only use traditonal characters so - sorry if there's any confusion!

Hi again,

认为 (I just copied that from your post :D), is more like 'presume' than 'consider'.

(I think).

I looked it up at nciku and got " think; consider; hold; deem; fancy; find; suppose; reckon; regard "

I think what you might be after is 看做/看作. Wenlin defines it as "look upon as, regard as." The example they give is: 他把你看做朋友 (He regards you/looks upon you as a friend).

I agree with lilongyue

to consider someone/something to be, 当成、看成、视作
