I really have trouble with some of these four-hanzi sayings.

Can someone help me with the meaning (and implication) of this one? 松柏長青.

I really appreciate it!

It means "pine and cypress are evergreen" or "evergreen as pine and cypress" , it implies "maral greatness"

it's one of some kind of phrases that hope someone can make longevity.

福如东海长流水,水流不断

寿比南山不老松,松柏常青

it's probably like that.
