Morning Exercises Song (looking for different versions)

Hi,

I decided to post this in the "music" section, because I figured it would be the most appropriate.

I went to China about a year ago in a student exchange program, and participated every day in Early Morning Exercises. They played a tape for us that kept the rhythm of the exercises, counting from 1 to 8 incessantly. It featured a cheesy horn/orchestral intro, followed by a woman introducing the tape, and preparing to count off. Every day I fell in love with the song a little bit more, especially the woman on the tape who counted off for us :D

Before we left for the States again, we were given a VCD of the Early Morning Exercises. It started with the same cheesy horn/orchestral introduction, but featured a different speaker, a man. This made me sad, because I can't wake up to the sound of the same sweet authoritative voice that got me out of bed every morning in Shanghai . I've done all the Googling I can muster, and can't find the version of the song I'm used to.

I did manage to find, in the above youtube link, the voice I remember from the tape. It's the voice that counts off during the "eye exercises".

If anyone knows where I can find all the different versions of the various "Morning Exercises" tapes/CDs, I would be very grateful.

Interesting video. Thank you.

But why is it that everybody seems to know how to do the exercise?

Because they do them every school day of their lives. For the non-eye ones there's likely someone demonstrating at the front. And again, they do them every school day of their lives.
