Hello!

Didn't know where else to ask this question so i googled on "chinese forums" and i found this place =)

So here goes...I found this shirt i my brothers abandoned closet in at my parents house,

he has ben working in china for a year and he picked up some clothes obviously during his time there.

Here is a picture of the lettering i'm interested in getting translated:

It's Japanese.

It says "頑張" + some kana.

I don't know the meaning, the first character means "mischievous; obstinate; to play; stupid; stubborn; naughty", the second one is a measure word, and I can't read the kana.

The hiragana reads: (sokuon) te

The sokuon is used to double the consonant.

頑張って (Ganbatte) usually read with exclaimation!

Means: Good luck! or Go for it! or maybe Do your best!

It is sometimes expressed in Chinese as "乾爸爹". :D
