Any comments on this would be appreciated. Quote

Annaliu Posted July 27, 2008 at 04:06 AM Report Posted July 27, 2008 at 04:06 AM 不停 and 不已 Firstly, they are all configuration of “不”, this is negative adv. “不” + adj/verb, for example: 不+adj: 不大、不小 不+verb: 不来、不去、不停、不已 The meaning of不停 and 不已 is “continue”, their differece is 不停 can use in the middle of sentence with 地or use in the end of sentence behind 个and 不已 is only used in the end of sentence behind verb. For example: 他 不停地 问 问题。(he asked questions ceaselessly) Subject adverbial modifier predicate objective 他 说 个 不停。(he speak ceaselessly) S P empty word adv.
