jgarnold Posted July 26, 2008 at 10:26 PM Report Posted July 26, 2008 at 10:26 PM I am trying to use my Palm TX with http://translate.google.com and http://babelfish.yahoo.com to translate English sentences to Chinese. I have CJKOS installed and can view Chinese web pages with Blazer, but if I try to use the translation sites, I get back incorrect Chinese characters with Google and nothing with Yahoo. Are there any software packages available for the Palm OS that will translate complete sentences to/from English and Chinese? -Jeff Quote
roddy Posted July 28, 2008 at 08:55 AM Report Posted July 28, 2008 at 08:55 AM What do you mean 'incorrect Chinese characters'? Sounds like it might be an encoding problem. Quote
jgarnold Posted August 5, 2008 at 05:07 AM Author Report Posted August 5, 2008 at 05:07 AM I ended up writing my own HTML that uses Google's translation API... http://www.goldenhawk.com/translate.htm I'm working on an even smaller version that runs on a PDA screen, but I haven't finished it yet. The one problem is that it requires a browser that supprts Javascript (such as Opera Mini that runs on the Palm). -Jeff Quote
