Each verbs his own noun

Each pays his own bill

Each walks his own way (goes his own way)

Each does his own work

Each minds his own business.

This is fixed usage.

各...+verb+各的...+noun(as objective)

means do something severally. you do sth by yourself and I do sth by myself...

for example:

各付各的钱， in this sentence, the center meaning is 付钱， pay the money.

付 is verb, 钱 is objective.

According to this rule, you can infer more examples:

买 东西------各买各的东西

吃 饭------各吃各的饭

洗 衣服------各洗各的衣服

Note1: this usage sometimes express not good relationship between two persons.

Note2: this usage only fits the simplex vt, complex vt or vi are little use.

for example:

竞选 总统(run for president)

it is not good express--各竞选各的总统， it should be better--各自参加总统竞选

Note3: when the objective is personal pronoun, this usage is not fit

for example:

表扬 你们(praise you)

it can not say: 各表扬各的你们
