Tsinghua Tuition

Can I only pay a semester worth of tuition when I get there in September or do I automatically have to pay a year's worth since I applied as a longterm studeny (1year). Because of this, I was forced to get an Xvisa since my JW202 reflected my 1year program even though I've changed my mind to 6 months. I've tried emailing Tsinghua about this but it seems the department is on a summer break right now...
