Cassandra Cass Posted August 22, 2008 at 12:51 PM Report Posted August 22, 2008 at 12:51 PM Hi guys, Does anyone know if there is an institution in Dali Old Town in Yunnan Province for studying Mandarin Chinese? I visited the Old Town recently and absolutely loved it. Any advice would be great. Thanks, Sandra Quote

jd76duke Posted October 22, 2009 at 07:08 PM Report Posted October 22, 2009 at 07:08 PM Hi! Would anyone care to share their experiences of studying chinese in Dali. I have an oportunity to study in China for 2 weeks next year and Dali is definitely on my list of places to go. Lijiang would be at the top of my list but I read some bad review of the ShangriLa College there. Any info is appreciated. Thanks, John Quote
bebezkidz Posted June 29, 2010 at 02:53 PM Report Posted June 29, 2010 at 02:53 PM John - Did you end up taking classes at Dali Daxue? Or has anyone else had experience there? I'm planning to enroll there next semester, but have heard a little negative feedback from people in Kunming. I'm currently in intermediate Chinese at Yunnan Shifan Daxue (normal university) in Kunming. I really like my classes here, but would like to be someplace a little smaller and calmer than Kunming (like Dali!). Please let me know if you have any advice! Thanks! Quote
