Xi'Er Dun Posted August 23, 2008 at 04:48 AM Report Posted August 23, 2008 at 04:48 AM Firstly if someone who is familiar with Jinan in Shandong and the electronic markets there and whats currently available, then could they please spare some time to help me with this thankyou. I am going back to Jinan next year and would like to know where in Jinan (not far from Shandong University) I can buy certain Electronic Dictionaries. Firstly I am interested in an electronic dictionary that does KOREAN, TRADITIONAL AND SIMPLIFIED Chinese, (possibly Japanese--not a big priority though), and possibly one that has some dictionaries or conversation in Chinese dialects like possibly Cantonese or of the like. The price doesn't seem to be a problem but anything above 3000RMB I will start to get worried. I have been interested in buying to BOOKMAN博客9100 with the Korean setup version, which I would like to know if there is anywhere in Jinan I can buy it. As I have been "window shopping" on Electronic Dictionary Product sites I have come across the BESTA (called Hao Yi [something??] in Chinese if I remember somewhat), the model I looked at was the 全球翻译王T-8000 which I seemed to be quite impressed with but no suggested retail price on the site. So yes I someone familiar with Jinan electronic markets//or electronics stores ("Olympus"/GuoMei is just one of them) and knows of an if and where in Jinan I can buy the BESTA全球翻译王T-8000 or the BOOKMAN博客9100(Korean韩语 setup) or even recommend a similar available model the has good Korean, Trad/Simp Chinese or even one that has some Chinese dialect dictionaries coversation like Cantonese/Taiwanese, then I would be most greatful of the time and effort. Is there a place in Jinan that stockes the 全球翻译王T-8000 or the BOOKMAN博客9100(Korean韩语 setup) for sail regularly and maybe an indication of what I will have to pay for any of them would be great too. By the way, if bought at an electronic market would it be possible the as in China one can "haggle"down the price, but I know not possible if bought from a retail store like Gome(GuoMei??) for example. Thankyou I understand that this may take a Jinan resident or local shopper to help me with. Xi'Er Dun Quote
imron Posted August 23, 2008 at 05:42 AM Report Posted August 23, 2008 at 05:42 AM Dangdang puts the price of the T-8000 at RMB 1,800, with a recommended retail price of RMB 2,299. At Gome it will probably be more expensive than what you could find in a local electronics market, but if something goes wrong with it, you'll have a better recourse for getting a refund. Don't know about electronic markets in Jinan, but IMO buying it online at Dangdang or some other e-tailer is also a valid option. Quote
