Zammotaylor Posted August 27, 2008 at 03:16 PM Report Share Posted August 27, 2008 at 03:16 PM Hi, I'm new to this site, but I already downloaded some flash cards that work on my iPod. There were about 400 of them, saved as .png files. I just imported them as photos and can view them through the photos section of the pod. Does anyone have any more, or know where I can find some? I've tried to download the flash card programs but I'm a mac user and I can't make them work. I'd be happy with a large database of standard 'flash card' images to upload through the photoviewer on the pod. Any ideas? Or if this flashcard program works on a mac and would work on an ipod, how do I get started? Cheers, Z
renzhe Posted August 27, 2008 at 03:33 PM Report Share Posted August 27, 2008 at 03:33 PM I don't know about the iPod, but Anki is a popular flashcard program that works on Macs. There should also be Chinese databases available for it. I know that there is one for Mnemosyne, a similar program, and I believe Anki can load those. Slimm Posted September 25, 2008 at 03:09 PM Report Share Posted September 25, 2008 at 03:09 PM I use Mental Case for Mac and my iPhone, which can also be used for iPod Touch. They don't have a database of flashcards yet, but its easy to import flashcards from one of the various websites, like flashcardexchange.com. Flying Pigeon Posted October 2, 2008 at 08:49 AM Report Share Posted October 2, 2008 at 08:49 AM Zammotaylor, Where did you download the flashcards from? I have an older iPod, so I'm not sure Mental Case flash cards will jive with it. I've tried iFlash, but when exported to an iPod, the flash cards become a long, scrolling text file. Thanks in advance. Dean
