Song You Shen Posted August 27, 2008 at 06:24 PM Report Posted August 27, 2008 at 06:24 PM So I am applying for a study abroad program with my school (San Francisco State University) and I'm pretty sure I'll be accepted. My girlfriend also wants to go to school in China with me for the year, but she doesn't go to San Francisco State University. This means she does not have access to apply for the same study-abroad program. Here current school does not support studying abroad in China yet. Is there any way my girlfriend would be able to study at Peking University with me in Fall 2009? Thanks for anyone who can help or provide any sort of assistance. Youshen Quote
yonglin Posted August 27, 2008 at 09:31 PM Report Posted August 27, 2008 at 09:31 PM She could join as a "general visiting student" (see here) (Chinese universities have a tendency to admit any fee-paying foreign student). However, she probably wouldn't be able to obtain any college credit for it unless her university has an agreement with PKU. Quote
BrandeX Posted August 28, 2008 at 01:38 AM Report Posted August 28, 2008 at 01:38 AM If this school will provide a transcript, it can be sent to ECE, WES, or one of the other credential evaluators in the US. There it is translated to english and checked for equivalence to US credit system. The new transcript can then be sent to any US College/University where they will either accept or not accept the credits as per there normal transfer rules. Quote
