There is a very useful PDF on this from a Taiwanese university at http://www.ling.sinica.edu.tw/eip/FILES/journal/2007.3.9.89451234.6382483.pdf I mean things like: 看个明白 说个没完 I haven't got time to summarize the findings of that PDF, but the link should be all you need, as the file is in English.
