recommendations for life in Taiyuan

Hi,

I'm a 24-year old guy from Sweden who recently arrived in Taiyuan to do an internship. I'm wondering if anyone has experience living or studying in Taiyuan, and knows of any interesting cafes, bars, bookstores, universities, language schools etc that are good places to hang out and meet other foreigners and Chinese people interested in language exchange. So far, I seem to have found precious little in the way of this!
