Guest realmayo Posted October 3, 2008 at 08:49 AM Report Posted October 3, 2008 at 08:49 AM About a year ago I was thinking of spending one or two semesters studying in a non-coastal city in China. One place I was considering was Chengdu, lots of people said it's a really nice place to live, particularly laid-back & relaxed. Now I'm wondering whether the earthquake has changed that? Are people still coming to terms with the disaster, is there still an unhappy mentality around the place that would make Chengdu a less attractive city to spend 6 months or a year? I know that seems a bit callous but, on reflection, I think it's a fair question. Quote

GBodyShop Posted October 4, 2008 at 11:33 PM Report Posted October 4, 2008 at 11:33 PM WOW. Talking so much about SiChuan. I beginning to miss my in-laws a lot now. They make great food. I am still looking to move there soon, if i can. But finding good work and not be a english teacher there is not easy. If you can take a week vacation. Go see how it will be for yourself. We all can tell you "is great", "go there is wonderful". But you never know until you go and see for yourself. Hope Everything turns out better then you hope for. Good Luck Luis Quote
