Mahninzi Posted October 23, 2008 at 05:41 AM Report Posted October 23, 2008 at 05:41 AM Dear all, I am doing research on how English native speakers acquire (Mandarin) Chinese. I am writing to this forum with the hope that I might be able to find English native speakers learning Chinese at ANY proficiency level who could take part in my study by filling in a questionnaire in Chinese. This questionnaire may give you an insight into some structures in Chinese which are not explicitly taught or explained in a classroom. If interested, I am happy to provide feedback and preliminary findings after completion. All you would have to do is to answer questions in Chinese following your intuition. Your participation will remain confidential and the results will not affect you in any way. If you are willing to take part in my study, please drop me a line. I would appreciate your participation. Hofmann Posted October 25, 2008 at 03:03 AM Report Posted October 25, 2008 at 03:03 AM I wonder; did the other guy come back? Quote
imron Posted October 25, 2008 at 03:06 AM Report Posted October 25, 2008 at 03:06 AM None of them ever come back. Even the ones that promise they will. Quote
msittig Posted October 25, 2008 at 08:17 AM Report Posted October 25, 2008 at 08:17 AM I've participated in countless surveys and only one has followed up with the results. It was really bad, too. I was almost embarrassed to have participated. 1 Quote
Mahninzi Posted October 25, 2008 at 11:14 AM Author Report Posted October 25, 2008 at 11:14 AM Yes, Rodd, I will get back to participants with my findings after I analyse collected data. Quote
roddy Posted October 25, 2008 at 12:20 PM Report Posted October 25, 2008 at 12:20 PM Well, good luck. You'll get a better response if you can post your survey here - asking people to email you is perhaps a bit hopeful. Quote
roddy Posted August 1, 2011 at 09:43 AM Report Posted August 1, 2011 at 09:43 AM Three years later I get asked to remove the post (have edited out identifying details) and told that none of us did the survey so we don't get to see the results. Feedback of a sort, I suppose. Quote
jbradfor Posted August 1, 2011 at 01:27 PM Report Posted August 1, 2011 at 01:27 PM None of us? I'm pretty sure I returned the form. No, wait..... I asked for the form. I opened it and started to fill it out. I think I gave up because it was a total PitA to fill out, and I meant to get back to it. Opps. Quote
imron Posted August 1, 2011 at 11:49 PM Report Posted August 1, 2011 at 11:49 PM You sure it was this one and not one of the other surveys that author never provided feedback on either? Quote
Areckx Posted August 11, 2011 at 09:36 PM Report Posted August 11, 2011 at 09:36 PM In any case, it's good to know that we're needed! Quote
