I understand that 前来 means to „come around“ but how is it used?

Like „I am glad you could come and join us"? but you would not really need the "come"fin that sentence. Can anyone come up with a typical example?

Cheers in advance.

step forward 的意思 as in:

and in some expressions:

Of course I'll come, gladly

Thanks for stopping by to say goodbye

You needn't bother about coming up (to see me off)

Not sure if it can be used in phrases like: I'm glad you could come up and join us

Thanks for taking the time to pen down these useful examples.

I had only heard it in this context:

欢迎前来参加 xyz (which I thought was I am glad you could join xyz/welcome to xyz)

It sounded a bit formal.

come round/around 前来

In Chinese,“前来”means "come around".or "come here"

For example

Welcome to my birthday party.

but in this sentence not contain "come"

In this two sentence "前来" isn't belong to one word.
