afritzse Posted October 23, 2008 at 04:14 PM Report Posted October 23, 2008 at 04:14 PM Watching CCTV (中央电视台) over the Internet outside of China used to be a bit of a hassle, because the video often stalled due to lack of bandwidth. Now they offer all of their channels through a P2P plug-in for Windows that you have to download and install. Has anyone tried out this way of watching the CCTV channels and found it to be malware-free? I am hesitant to install it for that reason, as malware on Chinese websites is quite common. The video quality and frame rate are also supposed to be much better. The link to CCTV's player is, obtained through de.wwiTV.com: http://tv.cctv.com/live_t/index.shtml?channel=cctv_p2p_cctv2 If I had a system to test it on, I would try it, but I don't. Thanks for your insights. Quote
