总结，归纳，概括

very similar. how do they differ in usage or meaning?

i thought i had the first two pinned down before, but that was a long time ago. at least i understand them when others use them. need a little direction to more deeply understand them in order to use them myself, though.

The three of them can natually be translated into In conclusion. The difference between them is very tiny.

总结：To conclude the contents above and achieve a theory, result or a consequence.

eg: 总结以上各项，我们可以得出……结论。（To conclude all contents above, we can gain a result of ...）

归纳、概括: The two are similar, used to only conclude some title sentences about the whole passage, to reveal what's in the lines on earth. However, 归纳 is emphasized on the process to conclude, and 概括 is emphasized on the conclusion.

eg: 通过所有数据的归纳整理，揭示出某种经济增长的潜在规律。（By concluding all data here, it reveals certain laws of economic growth.）

请同学们概括一下本文的中心思想。（Please conclude the title sentence of this passage.）
