Books about Western Art

Hi,

Know of any books about Western Art written in Chinese? I'm particularly interested in reading about Impressionism.

I'm also interested in documentary films about art as well. Any suggestions?

I don't know about films, but Xinhua Bookstores all across the country have books on western art.

You should also be able to find some by searching on amazon.cn and dangdang.com. I'd imagine at least some of what's available will have been translated from English - maybe not what you're looking for.

Not sure if this is the sort of thing you are looking for, but my campus library has a copy of the Chinese translation of Umberto Eco's History of Beauty [美的历史] ... Has tons of images with captions ...
