yonglin Posted November 17, 2008 at 03:28 PM Report Posted November 17, 2008 at 03:28 PM 美女,你说中文说得很好,你还要努力一点学习,我想你以后会说得更好的……祝福你! 以后有机会我教你说中文,好吗?…… 我特别的想认识你,我特别喜欢金发美女,就像你这样子…… It means something along the lines of (which you probably should have figured out by now if the statement is true.... )... Pretty girl, you speak Chinese very well. I think that if you only study a little bit harder you'll speak it even better in the future. Wish you all the best! If there is opportunity, I will teach you (to speak) Chinese in the future, how about that? I would very much like to get to know you, I very much like blonde pretty girls, like you. Quote

BrandeX Posted November 18, 2008 at 04:03 AM Report Posted November 18, 2008 at 04:03 AM Well I'm not that great, but I think it's something like: "I wanna go out with you, if you will let me. Your eyes are totally hawt." Quote
Lu Posted November 18, 2008 at 04:52 PM Report Posted November 18, 2008 at 04:52 PM I would like to date you, is that ok, if you can accept me? Your eyes are so beautiful. He should really consider telling you these things in English so you can actually understand without throwing your dating life on the internet... Have fun! ;-) Quote
jbradfor Posted November 18, 2008 at 06:50 PM Report Posted November 18, 2008 at 06:50 PM "恋爱" translates to "date"? I always thought it meant something a bit more, umm, intimate. Quote
Lu Posted November 18, 2008 at 06:55 PM Report Posted November 18, 2008 at 06:55 PM 谈恋爱 pretty much translates to 'being boyfriend and girlfriend' (but I've also heard it used as the part where both parties have an interest in one another, but they haven't told each other yet). Perhaps 'date' is not the right word. Quote
889 Posted November 18, 2008 at 11:24 PM Report Posted November 18, 2008 at 11:24 PM "谈恋爱 pretty much translates to 'being boyfriend and girlfriend'" Yes, but her admirer seems to be pushing things a bit and has skipped right over the talking preliminaries: "我想和你恋爱可以吗." Quote
renzhe Posted November 18, 2008 at 11:40 PM Report Posted November 18, 2008 at 11:40 PM Nah, 恋爱 means "love, be in love, court, have a courtship, go steady". It's not like he said "做爱" Quote
