HSK Kouyu?

Will be sitting for the HSK really soon, I'm doing this independently so I'm not being helped by any school. I heard that there are 4 sections of the exam and they have recently incorporated a section for kouyu/oral.

Is this true, and can anyone tell me what exactly will be tested. E.g. will they let us read something out loud, answer questions out loud or will they give us a topic and tell us to talk about it for a few minutes?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

You can check published mock papers. There are plenty of links to mock papers on these forums (ie using the search function).

I sat the HSK about 6 or so weeks ago and did not get a Kouyu test... was a bit surprised and had practised so felt a bit put out, but not so much that I was going to force them to give me a kouyu test... :mrgreen:

As Scoobyqueen advised have a look at the mock tests and drill them, its worth it...

Wow, I really hope I don't get a Kouyu test! I fear having a mind-block in front of the examiners. Will try to find for the mock papers here, thanks for the advice. ;)
