how much are the living expenses in chengu..please

Hi everyone,

I am planing to travel to chengu to study and work.I'd like to know the expenses interms of rent, food,cost for clothes and perfumes, transport either local or driving,entertainment, visa for an intern and work permit.....

Apart from the above also enlightem me on where to purchase a laptop and digital camera because know it may be cheaper buying from there that africa or europe.

Lastly,can i get good experience in social life because i am phobic to descrimination.......

that's depend on your needs,actually according to my friend of Chendu, rouand 2000RMB for an apartment with two bedrooms. For eating, depend on your taste, starting from 10RMB for a meal.

The general cost of living:

apartment(simple)500/M-800/M,oif couse,there are more expensive apartment,you can choice.

interms50-80/M,food5-15,Taxi from 5yuan(1.4yuan per kilometer),The cost of living is not high...

There are a lot of malls can buy laptop and digital cameras.

I live in chengdu ,I spend about 2000-3500yuan per month,excluding rent.

I think expenditure depends on your choice~

USD400 ,well,I think it should be enough!

Tickets cost depends on your travel time,return about cost RMB1000-2000 .

still i also wanted to know about F-visa.For instance i have one and i want to renew it should i have to travel to HK,hongkong....because i have been reading some stories of that hapenning.

lastly which will you advice i get,Z-visa or F,because i will be comingfor my intership and in sheraton and am sure they will require me to have the F visa,but after six months i want to work there if they employ me or stay as a look for another job probably teaching.....?
