olympic song

hi,

i am looking for a chinese song which i heard all day long in the radio when i was in beijing (in july)

i was pretty sure that the text was "北京,我爱你!". in the chorus, this was stretched to "beiiiiijiiiiiiing, wooooooo aiiiii niiiiiiiiiiii, beiiiiijiiiiing....."

the melody was very, very slow and "typical chinese"

does anybody know what song i am talking about? it was NEITHER "beijing huan ying ni" NOR "beijing, beijing, wo ai beijing"

so, i am not sure, if it was an olympic song at all.... but its text and the period of time it was played in could indicate that...

as already said, i often heard that song in restaurants

Not sure which song you were talking about, we only heard of this song named “我爱你 中国” instead of “我爱你 北京”. Was the song sung by a female or male singer or a group?

I saw the song being sung at the closing ceremony of the Olympics. Jacky Chan was mainly singing it. Even though there seemed to be lots of singers, just like in "beijing huanying ni". Try the baidu song search :)

@ elina: thanks but it was "beijing, wo ai ni", not "wo ai ni zhongguo"

it was sung by a male singer.

@herr petersen

as i've already said, it was not "beijing, beijing, i love beijing" but another song which was not played at any ceremony.

it is very strange to me that i heard this song so often in beijing but nevertheless i cannot find it in the internet and nobody knows what i'm talking about...

maybe somebody else has an idea...

We had to sing the olympic song in our chinese class for a homework grade. It was pretty bad but it was very interesting to sing a diffeent language that your not use to.

thanks to everybody who made suggestions what song i could have been looking for...

i have finally found it. it's a little bit embarrassing to me haha as the song was called "beijing HU HUAN ni", not beijing wo ai ni. sorry for that

it's 4 months ago that i heard it in chinese radio for the last time, so the text apparently changed in my mind

i typed in "北京" on haoting.com and tested some results, then i found it
