catherine861114 Posted December 10, 2008 at 02:05 AM Report Posted December 10, 2008 at 02:05 AM Erin can be translated to 艾琳 or 爱琳 since they pronuanced the same in Chinese 艾琳 is more common When it comes to "decided your destiny", I am not sure what you wanna express (Sorry, I am Chinese but not profient in English) it can be literally tranclated to 决定你的命运, however, you didn't say who decide your destiny, it's odd in Chinese! I guess you mean "you decided your own destiny" or something, tell me, so that I can find a proper translation for you. BTW, your daughter's name is very lovely Quote
renzhe Posted December 10, 2008 at 01:56 PM Report Posted December 10, 2008 at 01:56 PM Keep in mind that, while both 艾琳 and 爱琳 are good and Chinese-sounding transliterations for "Erin", both are pronounced "Ai lin". You cannot "write" foreign names using Chinese characters, only approximate them. Quote
