jeffofarabia Posted December 1, 2008 at 04:32 PM Report Posted December 1, 2008 at 04:32 PM I just got a job in Shanghai for next year. I am so excited to return to China after 6 years. I have never lived in Shanghai and was wondering what type of language instruction is available in the evenings after I get home from teaching. Are there a lot of private tutors? What do they tend to charge for an hour? I still have months to go but I am getting excited. Quote
mr.demoman Posted February 16, 2009 at 02:19 AM Report Posted February 16, 2009 at 02:19 AM the price depends on what kind of teacher you want. if a professional skilled teacher, the price will be about 80rmb-120rmb per hour. if only a native speaker with good english ability (ex. a uni student majoring in chinese teaching), the price will be about 40rmb-100rmb per hour. personal opinions, hope it helpful to you Quote
