tips for organizing grammar

Recently I've been reviewing the grammar I've learned in the past year and a half, and I've decided to compile it into a list for easy reference use. I'm looking for advice on what would be the best way to organize said list.

Should I organize it by structure (ie, parts of speech, sentence constructions, etc) or should I organize it by theme (so that if I was looking for a way to translate something, I could look at a variety of different but related ways of saying it) ? or should I organize it in a different way?
