hyperborean Posted December 15, 2008 at 03:55 AM Report Posted December 15, 2008 at 03:55 AM Hi Everyone, I'm living in Taipei studying Chinese. I‘ve heard good things about this book on Chinese slang ' Outrageous Chinese: A Guide to Chinese Street Language' by James Wang. However i can't find it here in Taiwan and it seems pretty difficult to order online. Does anyone have any ideas on how I could get a copy of it? Cheers, Hyperborean Quote

flameproof Posted December 16, 2008 at 06:35 AM Report Posted December 16, 2008 at 06:35 AM There is a similar one called: Mutant Mandarin http://www.sinosplice.com/lang/studybooks/mutant-mandarin-a-guide-to-new-chinese-slang But the article starts..... "This book is not nearly as good as Outrageous Chinese..." And there is another one: Making Out in Chinese http://www.sinosplice.com/lang/studybooks/making-out-in-chinese The latest edition should have pinyin and characters. Quote
